Residents and visitors are invited to gather on November 1 to celebrate the revitalization of Commerce Place in Raleigh's historic Warehouse District. The event will take place from 3-8 p.m. as part of the Raleigh First Friday series.

Participants can explore local business pop-ups, enjoy live music, snacks, and games, and participate in a raffle for a chance to win gift cards or prize baskets from downtown businesses. City staff will be present to discuss the project and listen to community ideas on how to activate the space.

The revamped Commerce Place aims to be a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly area capable of hosting community events and encouraging local engagement in downtown Raleigh. The event offers an opportunity for attendees to express their preferences for future events and activities on the improved street. Enhancements include new outdoor seating areas, enhanced crosswalks, bike racks, pedestrian improvements, festive string lighting, and two "asphalt art" murals by local artist Mary Carter Taub.

The project is spearheaded by the City's Urban Projects Group in collaboration with Raleigh Transportation, Raleigh Arts, Empire Properties, Turnbridge Equities, and other city departments.
