The City of Raleigh is inviting residents to participate in shaping the future of walking and biking within the city through the Active Mobility Plan Open House. The event aims to gather community insights and ideas to enhance bike and pedestrian infrastructure.

Scheduled for Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 4–7 p.m., the open house will be held at the Tarboro Road Community Center located at 121 N Tarboro Street, Raleigh. The gathering promises an open environment where attendees can reflect on their experiences, explore the vision and goals of the Active Mobility Plan, and review findings from a conditions analysis completed earlier this year.

Participants are encouraged to share thoughts on current walking and biking conditions in Raleigh. "Tell us what’s working, what’s not, and what you’d like to see improved for walking and biking in Raleigh," invites the city.

City transportation experts will be present to discuss ongoing projects related to biking and pedestrian pathways. Attendees will have opportunities to engage with staff members who are eager to hear community ideas.

The event is structured flexibly so that individuals can drop by anytime during its duration. Interactive displays will be available for exploration alongside discussions designed for public feedback.

Light refreshments will be provided during the event as part of efforts to maintain an engaging atmosphere. The City of Raleigh looks forward to collaborating with residents on creating a safer, more accessible community focused on sustainable transportation options.
