Eric Tulsky, General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, has announced a roster change involving defenseman Riley Stillman and center Ryan Suzuki. The team recalled Stillman from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL) and assigned Suzuki to the same team.
Riley Stillman, 26, recently returned to play after missing the first 14 games of the season due to a lower body injury. He debuted with the Hurricanes on January 28 against the New York Rangers. Before his recall, he accumulated five points in 15 games with the Wolves. Stillman's professional journey includes time with various NHL teams including Florida, Chicago, Vancouver, Buffalo, and now Carolina.
Ryan Suzuki, 23, made his NHL debut on January 30 against the Chicago Blackhawks. He leads the Wolves in assists this season with a total of 30 points over 38 appearances. Suzuki has had a successful AHL career so far and was part of the Wolves' Calder Cup-winning team in 2021-22.
Both players have been notable for their contributions at different levels of hockey. Stillman's return marks an important step as he continues his NHL career with Carolina. Meanwhile, Suzuki returns to AHL action where he has been a consistent performer.
