A Brunswick County intersection is set to transition from a two-way stop to an all-way stop next week. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will undertake the installation of stop signs and pavement markings at the junction of Bell Swamp Road and Bell Swamp Connection on February 10. This schedule is contingent upon favorable weather conditions and may be subject to change.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution in the area as crews work on implementing the new traffic pattern.

The decision follows a safety review by NCDOT, which assessed traffic volumes and crash patterns. "NCDOT determined an all-way stop was the most cost-effective way to improve safety at the intersection," according to their findings.

Further information about all-way stops can be accessed through a designated webpage.
