The Toyota GR Supra will serve as the official pace car for the 2025 National Auto Sport Association (NASA) Championships, scheduled for September 4–7 at Ozarks International Raceway in Gravois Mills, Missouri. This marks the first time the GR Supra will take on this role at NASA’s marquee event and is the third GR Sports car to do so.
Sporting a Toyota GAZOO Racing livery in red, white, and black, the GR Supra will lead competitors from 14 NASA regions who will race in 25 classes. The championship culminates with a winner-take-all finale on Sunday.
“At Toyota, our passion for performance and motorsports runs deep, and we’re honored to support grassroots racing through our relationship with NASA,” said Mike Tripp, group vice president, Toyota Marketing. “We’re especially proud to have the GR Supra pacing the 2025 Championships at Ozarks International Raceway—marking its debut as the official NASA Champs pace car.”
Participants will compete on a 3.97-mile road course featuring 19 turns and significant elevation changes. The track is expected to challenge drivers’ skills while providing an engaging experience for both spectators at the venue and those watching online via live stream.
Toyota GAZOO Racing’s involvement extends beyond motorsport events. Since 2019, buyers of new Toyota GR sports cars have received a complimentary one-year NASA membership that includes a free High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) track day. Initially offered exclusively to GR Supra owners, this benefit now applies to all new GR sports car buyers.
“The relationship between Toyota and NASA has been an incredible way to introduce sports car owners to the world of performance driving in a safe and responsible manner,” said Jeremy Croiset, chief executive officer of NASA. “We’re especially excited to welcome the GR Supra for the first time as the official pace car for the 2025 NASA Championships at Ozarks International Raceway. For those who can’t join us at the track, all the action will be streaming live at www.DriveNASA.com.”
The fifth generation Supra has led Toyota’s performance lineup since its launch. The upcoming 2026 model year represents its final production run and includes three trims: 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and MkV Final Edition—each available with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.
Only 1,300 units of the limited-run MkV Final Edition will be available in North America. It features options in red, black or white; GT4-Style package; matte-finish paint; race-inspired graphics; carbon fiber red mirror caps; dual stainless steel exhaust tips; and a carbon-fiber ducktail spoiler.
All versions of the 2026 GR Supra continue with a 3.0-liter inline-six twin-scroll turbocharged engine producing 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque.
Toyota employs nearly 48,000 people across its U.S operations—including design, engineering, and assembly—and began assembling automotive batteries for electrified vehicles at its North Carolina plant in 2025. The company has also invested in educational programs through its Driving Possibilities initiative aimed at underserved communities near its operating sites.
