Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) has announced a restructuring of its manufacturing operations to enhance customer service and growth, focusing on building where it sells. The new structure will include three strategic pillars: Manufacturing Business Operations, Manufacturing Operations, and Production Engineering. Additionally, the company’s manufacturing plants will be divided into seven regions based on complexity, scope, and size.
Effective May 19, 2025, several executive changes will support this new structure:
Stephen Brennan has been promoted to senior vice president of Manufacturing Business Operations and executive safety officer. His responsibilities include manufacturing strategy, EV supply, project management, digital technology development, production efficiency, and environmental operations. Brennan reports to Takefumi Shiga.
Kerry Creech will continue as president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky (TMMK) while also taking on the role of group vice president for Manufacturing Region 1.
Kevin Voelkel assumes additional duties as senior vice president of Manufacturing Operations for all vehicle and unit plants in North America.
Jason Puckett becomes group vice president for Manufacturing Region 2 and takes over as president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana (TMMI).
Tim Hollander is appointed group vice president for Manufacturing Region 3 and president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada (TMMC).
Frank Voss takes on the role of group vice president for Manufacturing Region 4 and becomes president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas (TMMTX).
David Rosier remains president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia (TMMWV) while overseeing Region 5.
David Fernandes continues his role at Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTM) while being named group vice president for Manufacturing Region 6.
Don Stewart is promoted to group vice president for Manufacturing Region 7 at Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC), succeeding Sean Suggs who retires June 6.
Marc Perry is promoted to president of TMMAL under Rosier’s oversight.
Susann Kazunas leads Production Engineering as group vice president and executive engineering officer. She transitions from her previous role as TMMTX’s president.
Toyota remains committed to sustainable mobility with nearly 64,000 employees in North America contributing to the design and assembly at its manufacturing plants. In spring 2025, its North Carolina plant will begin producing automotive batteries for electrified vehicles.
