Toyota has announced the upcoming release of the 2026 Corolla Hybrid, a vehicle that combines advanced technology with reliability and affordability. The new model will be available in five grades: LE, LE AWD, SE, SE AWD, and XLE. It features a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing, delivering 138 horsepower and an estimated fuel efficiency of up to 50 MPG combined.
The Corolla Hybrid comes equipped with Toyota Audio Multimedia, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. New for 2026 are digital gauge clusters: a 7-inch standard on LE and SE grades, and a 12.3-inch standard on XLE.
The vehicle offers both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options. Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive is available on LE and SE grades, using a rear-mounted electric motor to enhance traction.
Design-wise, each grade has distinct features such as different grille designs and wheel sizes. The interior focuses on comfort with adjustable seating options varying by grade.
The Corolla Hybrid also includes connectivity features like an 8-inch touchscreen standard or a 10.5-inch screen on higher grades. It supports dual Bluetooth phone connectivity and offers Wi-Fi Connect trial for internet access.
Safety features include Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert as standard across all models. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 provides various safety systems including Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.
The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price starts at $24,575 for the LE grade, excluding processing fees. The vehicle is expected to arrive at dealerships this fall.
Toyota continues its commitment to sustainable mobility with plans to manufacture automotive batteries in North Carolina starting spring 2025.
