Children in Raleigh will have the opportunity to participate in a tumbling class at Brier Creek Park. The “Rumblin’ Tumblers” class is designed for children ages 4-10 and focuses on teaching basic tumbling skills such as forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands.

The sessions are divided by age group, with classes for ages 4-5 from 5:15 to 6 p.m., and for ages 6-10 from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Classes will be held on Mondays. The program costs $40 per participant.

According to the organizers, “In this class, children will learn the basic building blocks of tumbling, including forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands. Our experienced instructors will break down these skills into easy-to-follow steps, ensuring your child’s safety while they learn.”

The program aims to help children improve coordination and balance through activities and games. Organizers also emphasize self-confidence development: “Tumbling is an excellent way to boost self-confidence. Children will overcome challenges, achieve goals, and celebrate their accomplishments, fostering a sense of pride in their abilities.”

Instructor Alyssa Deberry leads the class. She is described as a former gymnast and current cheerleader.

Registration can be completed through RecLink.
