Marsh Creek Community Center will host an open house event for its new Urban Farm, inviting community members to visit and learn more about the project. The Urban Farm, which began operations in 2025 through a partnership with Raleigh City Farm, aims to grow and distribute fresh produce within the Raleigh community.

Visitors can take guided tours of the farm, sample fresh produce, talk with farmers, explore volunteer opportunities, and meet other residents during this drop-in event. The official Groundbreaking Ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m., with attendees asked to check in at the Marsh Creek Community Center lobby upon arrival. The event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.

The open house is set for Thursday, March 19 from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with activities available for all ages and no cost to attend.

“Take a tour, enjoy some fresh produce, chat with the farmers, learn about volunteer opportunities, and meet your neighbors at this drop-in opportunity to see all things going on with our Urban Farm!”
