Historic Moore Square Park in Downtown Raleigh is hosting The Lunch Brake, a weekly lunchtime event featuring local food trucks and vendors. This series takes place on Mondays and Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Martin Street Plaza, where up to three food trucks are showcased each day.

The plaza was expanded during recent park renovations to accommodate food truck access and manage the flow of visitors. It is located under the shade of 200-year-old oak trees, which have large, low-hanging branches that could pose a risk to taller vehicles. Vendors are advised not to drive into the space without assistance and should check in with a Moore Square staff member for guidance upon arrival.

The park’s location attracts foot traffic from nearby offices, schools, Marbles Kids Museum, residents, and daily visitors who enjoy both the food offerings and the outdoor setting. However, due to North Carolina’s unpredictable weather conditions, services may be postponed or canceled in case of severe weather.

Vendors interested in participating must complete an application form. Once approved, they will receive a Sign-Up Genius link for scheduling their service dates. As part of its engagement efforts, Raleigh Parks offers a $50 stipend per service date to participating vendors after their scheduled shift.
