Coronapic

Town of Knightdale issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.

The Town of Knightdale is partnering with WakeMed and Wake County Health and Human Services to host a free webinar on COVID-19 vaccinations on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

“COVID-19 Vaccines: Separating Fact from Fiction,” will feature a research-based presentation by Dr. Chris DeRienzo, System Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of Quality at WakeMed Health and Hospitals and Dr. Jason Wittes, Pharmacy Director for Wake County Health and Human Services.

The presentation will address how COVID-19 vaccines were created and work, vaccine safety and efficacy, the Delta variant, and local resources. The session will conclude with a question-and-answer period.

Community members are asked to register in advance by completing the COVID-19 Vaccination Webinar Registration Form. All registrants will receive an email confirmation containing information on how to join the webinar.

The Town of Knightdale encourages community members to submit questions in advance when registering.  If you’d like to submit a question but cannot join the live webinar, please complete the COVID-19 Vaccination Webinar Question Form.

Webinar attendees will also have an opportunity to submit comments in real-time during the Q&A portion.

The COVID Vaccine Information Webinar will be live streamed on the town’s YouTube page (https://www.youtube.com/KdaleNC) and a video of the information session will be available for viewing online the following week.
