WHEREAS, it is of the utmost importance that all citizens fully understand the provisions and principles contained in the Constitution in order to support, preserve and defend it against encroachment; and,

WHEREAS, September 17, 2020 marks the two hundred thirty-fourth anniversary of the signing of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention; and

WHEREAS: Public Law 915 guarantees the issuing of a proclamation each year by the President of the United States of America designating September 13 - 17 as Constitution Week; and

WHEREAS, this celebration of the Constitution was started by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The resolution was later adopted by the U.S. Congress and signed into public law on August 2, 1956, by President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ken Marshburn, Mayor of the Town of Garner, do hereby proclaim September 13-17, 2021 as
