Town of Wake Forest issued the following announcement on Sep 10.
The Town of Wake Forest hosted a Northeast Community Plan Open House Thursday, Sept. 9, on the grounds of the DuBois Campus, 518 N. Taylor St. The event offered residents, business owners, and stakeholders the opportunity to share their thoughts and opinions on the proposed update to the Northeast Community Plan.
Anyone who was unable to attend Thursday’s in-person event can now participate in a “Virtual Open House” by visiting the Town website at www.wakeforestnc.gov/northeast-community-plan. The online open house gives visitors the chance to view displays about the plan, ask questions, and share comments via a short five-question survey.
Community input is the cornerstone of the Northeast Community Plan, which will recommend policies and actions responding to current and future community needs. The goal is to help preserve the history, diversity, and affordability of the area while addressing issues of growth, economic health, public infrastructure, and preservation. The plan is scheduled for completion later this year. For more information, contact Senior Planner for Historic Preservation Michelle Michael at 919-435-9516 or mmichael@wakeforestnc.gov.
