City of Raleigh issued the following announcement on Oct. 16.
Raleigh is soliciting proposals from non-profit organizations to build or expand facilities within City limits. All eligible non-profits must serve the community in the area of health care. This funding is to improve community health. Proposals to include but are not limited to, behavioral health, mental health, food security, or other health issues made worse by the pandemic. RFP responses are due November 15, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. To be eligible, applications must request at least $500,000.
A virtual application workshop is Monday, October 18, at 2:30 p.m. All information related to this solicitation is on the North Carolina Interactive Purchasing System (IPS).
Funding for this grant is part of the $73.2 million Raleigh received from the American Rescue Plan Act. Raleigh is committed to investing these funds in projects that:
- Align to the City’s strategic plan and community priorities
- Support equitable outcomes for most affected populations
- Leverage and align with other government funding sources
- Make the best use of this one-time infusion of resources
- Have a lasting impact
