Tami Fitzgerald, founder of the North Carolina Values Coalition, voiced her disappointment with New York City’s drag march last Friday.

Reportedly, drag queens were chanting, “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children,” according to a June 25 Washington Times report.

“Activists chant ‘coming for your children’ during drag queen march in New York," Fitzgerald said in a Twitter post. "Remember this if Governor Cooper vetoes the Women’s Sports bill or the bill banning mastectomies and castration for minors. It’s a billion-dollar medical child abuse industry.”

During the annual drag march in New York City June 23, LGBTQ activists paraded through Tompkins Square Park. The event drew attention as many participants marched topless, while a chant by drag queens stirred controversy online, Fox News reported.

In Seattle, a pride parade was held reportedly featuring grown men riding bicycles in the nude on public streets, which raised concerns regarding the presence of children, according to Fox News.

The “Youth Health Protection Act” has reportedly passed both the Senate and the House, WRAL News reported. The bill places restrictions on access to gender-affirming care for transgender youth such as hormone therapy, puberty blockers and surgeries. The concern from proponents is that youth are making decisions they aren't emotionally mature enough to understand the long-term implications.

Medical professionals who violate the rules risk litigation and having their licenses revoked, according to WRAL News.

Fitzgerald's Twitter post labeled the provision of such care to minors as “a billion-dollar medical child abuse industry” and urged people to recall the chant that drag queens had vocalized during the drag march, suggesting its relevance in the event of a potential veto by North Carolina’s governor regarding the bill.

“Leftist Radicals: ‘Stop calling us groomers & pedos - we are not coming for your children. Also Leftist Radicals: ‘We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children,'” political influencer Rogan O'Handley said in a Twitter post.
