The Active Adult Program offers two unique reading programs that you should check out.
Read and Go
This is a book club with a twist. We read books written by NC authors or books based in NC, have a book discussion, and then go on a trip based on the book. The author may be involved in the book discussion and planning and participate in the trip. This program has become so popular that the authors are now contacting us to use their books.
Read and Watch
If you want to go on a trip full of adventure, intrigue, love, or sorrow without leaving your chair, this program is for you. This program centers around reading a book that has been made into a movie. We will have a book discussion and then watch the movie. All books can be found in the local library or borrowed from the Active Adult Program.
