Open House: Stormwater and Sustainable Practices in Affordable Housing

The City of Raleigh’s Housing and Neighborhoods Department, Raleigh Stormwater and Office of Sustainability invite the development community (i.e., developers, consultants, architects, etc.) to drop by the Walnut Creek Wetland Center (Neuse Room, 950 Peterson St, Raleigh, NC) on February 21, 2024, between 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. to learn more about Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI), rooftop solar, and potential incentives and funding for sustainable measures.  

Future competitive Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Notice of Funding Availability’s (NOFAs) issued by the Housing and Neighborhoods Department may offer scoring criteria incentives (i.e., optional bonus points) and financial incentives (i.e., subsidized financial assistance) for developments that meet certain affordable housing, GSI and solar criteria. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to meet with City staff and learn more about potential incentives and future funding opportunities!

  • Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) preserves nature, soil, and waterways, and/or mimics nature by managing, treating, and reducing stormwater runoff from impervious surfaces, like roads, sidewalks, roofs, and driveways.
