In an upcoming event titled "Matriarchs of Mordecai," the women of Mordecai Historic Park will take center stage, inviting visitors to delve into their stories. The event, set to take place on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., promises a day filled with various activities and experiences.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a themed park tour, witness craft demonstrations by the Sir Walter Lacers and Tri-Tatters, and savor hearth cooking in the historic kitchen. Additionally, guests can engage in historic yard games, partake in a Hands-on History craft, and even embark on a special women's history tour of downtown aboard the Historic Raleigh Trolley.
