The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) has announced that Raleigh will be one of the hosts for the nine neutral-site games in the PWHL Takeover Tour™. This tour aims to bring PWHL hockey to new locations across North America, allowing fans to see top women’s hockey players compete in their local communities.

The Ottawa Charge and Minnesota Frost are set to play on March 7, 2025, at 7 pm ET at the Lenovo Center. Tickets for this event will be available starting with a presale on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 10 am ET, followed by general sales on Friday, Nov. 22 at 10 am ET.

“We are thrilled to be hosting a PWHL game at the Lenovo Center,” said Doug Warf, President of Carolina Hurricanes. “The Triangle has a culture of strongly supporting women’s sports, and we have consistently invested people and resources into our now thriving local girls youth hockey programs.”

The nine regular season games will take place in various locations throughout the United States and Canada. These locations range from Seattle and Vancouver in the Pacific Northwest to Québec City in the East and Raleigh, N.C., in the South. Little Caesars Arena in Detroit is notable as it will again host a neutral-site game after previously setting an attendance record for U.S. professional women’s hockey with 13,736 attendees.

“Bringing PWHL games to fans across both countries is a natural next step as we continue building our audience,” stated Amy Scheer, Senior Vice President of Business Operations for PWHL. She added that exploring potential game locations revealed strong enthusiasm from cities eager to engage with the league.

Tickets for the Quebec City game are currently on sale. Details regarding location and time for another game scheduled on February 16 will be announced soon.
