In celebration of the 5th anniversary of the City of Raleigh’s Cardinal Bikeshare program, residents and visitors are invited to enjoy unlimited complimentary one-hour bike rides throughout the entire month of May. The program has been a success, with over 435,700 miles of bike exploration facilitated since its inception in 2019, and more than 8,000 miles covered by riders in the first few months of 2024.

To commemorate this milestone, the Cardinal Bikeshare program is offering free rides to both current users and newcomers. According to the program, all rides lasting under one hour will be completely free of charge. For those interested in taking advantage of this promotion, simply download the Cardinal Bikeshare App, create an account, and input payment information.

If users encounter any issues accessing the offer, the Cardinal Bikeshare Customer Service team is available to assist. They can be contacted at 1-888-812-6777 or 1-919-424-0010, or via email at info@cardinalbikeshare.com. The Customer Service team operates on a schedule from 8 AM – 7 PM EST on Sunday through Wednesday, and 8 AM – 4 PM EST on Thursday through Saturday.

In addition to the free rides, the Micromobility Program is conducting a survey on payment options for the Cardinal Bikeshare system. Those interested in providing input on payment methods, both current and future, are encouraged to complete the anonymous Bikeshare Payment Options survey before May 17.

The City of Raleigh's Bicycle and Pedestrian team is dedicated to continuous improvement and welcomes feedback from the community. For any questions, suggestions, or concerns, individuals are encouraged to reach out directly to the micromobility lead at Hannah.Dossantos@raleighnc.gov.

The Cardinal Bikeshare program is excited to offer this opportunity to residents and visitors, inviting everyone to enjoy the city on two wheels throughout Bike Month.
