Residents of the City have been given the opportunity to have a say in the naming of the City's alternative response program. The City is seeking input from the community to decide on a suitable name for the program. Options such as CARES, SCORE, SAFE, and more are up for consideration.

According to the outreach efforts conducted over the past four months, the community has suggested a variety of names for the program. Some of the most common suggestions include CARES, CARE, SCORE, SAFE, REACT, and ARISE Raleigh, each with its unique acronym and meaning.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the naming process by either selecting their preferred name from the list provided or submitting their own suggestion. The deadline for submitting preferences is June 7, after which the results will be compiled and the program will be officially named.

In the words of the announcement, "We’ll publish the results – the program’s name – soon!" Residents are eagerly anticipating the final decision and the unveiling of the chosen name for the City's alternative response program.
