Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin | City of Raleigh - Government
The City employs thousands of individuals who tirelessly work each day to keep it functioning smoothly. Among these are many unsung heroes whose critical roles often take place behind the scenes, serving our community in ways that may not always be apparent. The video series “This is What I Do” aims to shed light on these individuals and their invaluable contributions.
A recent episode features Tierney Sneeringer, a Cultural Outreach and Enrichment Manager with Raleigh Parks. In her role, Sneeringer conducts English language and sewing classes, organizes special events such as the Children’s Day celebration, and coordinates the dental bus which offers free dental care to uninsured residents.
Sneeringer expresses a deep passion for her job, citing the joy she derives from meeting new people and connecting them with services that improve their lives. She also shares that working for Raleigh Parks brings an element of fun to her daily tasks.
In an effort to make every person in Raleigh feel welcome and connected, Sneeringer and her team strive to link residents with the myriad resources available within the city. Whether through teaching English language and sewing classes or hosting special events like Children's Day, they aim to foster a sense of community among all residents.
