The City of Raleigh has announced that it will host an Affordable Housing Summit on Saturday, August 17 at the Raleigh Convention Center. The summit is being organized as a platform for all Raleigh residents to engage in discussions about affordable housing.
The city administration is determined to address the complex issue of affordable housing. During the summit, attendees will have the opportunity to understand more about potential solutions, express their views on community housing needs, and contribute innovative ideas for future developments.
Although the final agenda is yet to be confirmed, participants can expect presentations and debates around topics such as homelessness as a housing problem, the current state of affordable housing in Raleigh, affordable rental development, and innovation in affordable housing.
The city sees this summit as a chance to gather public input and foster collective learning on the subject of affordable housing. Feedback and ideas collected during the event will guide the city's initiatives, including its new Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
