The City of Raleigh is set to celebrate Bike to Work Day on Thursday, May 16. However, the city's dockless e-scooter vendors LIME and SPIN have decided to join in the festivities. In honor of the event, both companies are offering free one-time-use ride coupons up to $10. Any fees exceeding this amount will be charged to the rider.
To avail of these coupons, users must input a specific promo code into their respective apps. For LIME users, they should enter "BIKE2WORKDAY" into the promo code feature. Meanwhile, SPIN users should use "bike2workdayspin". It's important to note that these codes are case-sensitive.
For those who are new to this system, they can start by downloading the app on their smartphone or mobile device. After creating an account with their chosen operator, they can use the map in the app to find a scooter closest to them. Following the in-app instructions will allow them to unlock their device and begin their ride.
The dockless scooter system implemented by the City of Raleigh has been beneficial for its residents. It provides a convenient option for short trips which helps reduce congestion and lower greenhouse gas emissions. Plus, it adds an element of fun into daily commuting.
More information about this scooter program can be found on the Dockless E-Scooter page.
