The Capital City Juneteenth Celebration will take place at Dix Park on Saturday, June 15, from 12 to 6 p.m. This community event invites friends and families to bring lawn chairs and blankets for an afternoon of festivities.
Attendees can expect a vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of a family reunion, with live music spanning gospel, ceremonial, jazz, and R&B genres. In addition to musical performances, local speakers will share stories of resilience and progress.
The event will feature a Kids Zone with various activities and entertainment. Attendees can also explore offerings from vendors showcasing artisan crafts and opportunities to engage with community organizations. A variety of food vendors will provide culinary delights.
The celebration is presented by the Capital City Juneteenth Committee, the City of Raleigh, and Dix Park Conservancy. The event is free and open to all ages.
