Raleigh Parks will hold an event to honor Dr. Norman Camp and the history of Walnut Creek Wetland Park. The event will feature the installation of a larger-than-life storybook and a live reading of "Norman Builds A Park," a children's book detailing Dr. Camp's contributions to the Southeast Raleigh community.
The celebration will include speeches, food trucks, and guided tours of the park. Interested attendees are encouraged to RSVP to Kyleene Rooks by June 19 at kyleene.rooks@raleighnc.gov or 919-996-2760.
