The community is invited to celebrate the new amenities at Baileywick Park on June 13, 2024. The event will feature various activities under the newly constructed multi-sport pavilion.

The activity schedule includes:

- Pickleball Open Play from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m.

- Pound Fitness Demo from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m., with two sessions running from 4:45 to 5:15 p.m. and from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. Participants can "channel your inner Rockstar with this 30-minute full-body cardio jam session of a workout inspired by drumming." The session uses lightly weighted exercise drumsticks, allowing participants to "torch calories and tone up while rocking out to your favorite music."

- Basketball Skills Class from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m., described as a "fun and instructional class designed for players interested in learning the fundamentals of basketball." The skills covered include basic ball handling, passing, right and left-hand lay-ups, shooting fundamentals, basic defensive stance, and body movement.

- Drop-in Play also scheduled from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m.

Those interested are encouraged to RSVP by emailing RSVP@raleighnc.gov or calling 919-996-3285. The event will take place from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., is open to all ages, and is free of charge.
