Summer Paddle Day at Lake Wheeler offers free kayaking and paddleboarding

The upcoming Summer Paddle Day at Lake Wheeler promises a range of water-based activities, including an introduction to stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking. A special session on dragon boating will also be offered, featuring participation from the Dragon Boat Club.

"Join us for a fun-filled day on the water!" organizers stated. "Come out and paddle with us!"

Participants must be 18 years or older and comfortable around water. Appropriate attire is recommended, including swimsuits, water shoes or sneakers, t-shirts, hats, and sunglasses. Attendees should also bring a towel and water bottle. Personal float devices, paddles, and instruction will be provided.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and it is free of charge.
