DIY history workshops offer tools for oral history and genealogy projects

Are you interested in starting your own oral history or African American genealogy project? Join us for an introduction to the essential tools of the trade. Experts from the Southern Oral History Program and Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society will share best practices, helpful resources, and how to solve common challenges oral historians and genealogists face.

Sessions will last approximately one hour. Attendees are encouraged to come early or stay after to continue celebrating Juneteenth at Mordecai with special tours and hands-on activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
