Raleigh's Fourth of July celebration returns to Dix Park

The City of Raleigh, in partnership with ABC11, invites the community to celebrate the Raleigh 4th of July Fireworks at Dix Park. The event will take place on Thursday, July 4, featuring a variety of activities including a food truck court, interactive entertainment on stage, an enhanced kid zone, and a fireworks display.

Gates will open and activities will begin at 6 p.m., with the fireworks scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Free parking is available at downtown parking decks and NC State Centennial Campus; however, there will be no parking allowed on the Dix Park campus. Free shuttles will operate from downtown’s Moore Square Park to Dix Park starting at 5:30 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, small coolers, strollers, and wagons. While purchasing from over 40 food trucks is encouraged, bringing food and non-alcoholic beverages is permitted.

Starting at 9 p.m., ABC11 will broadcast live coverage of the event including the fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. This coverage will also stream on www.abc11.com and all ABC11 streaming channels.
