The Raleigh fiscal year 2025 Development Fee Guide has been updated and is now available online. Applications submitted for review on or after July 1, 2024, will be subject to the new rates until June 30, 2025.

The City of Raleigh Planning and Development Department completed a comprehensive review of fees in the past year. On June 10, the Raleigh City Council adopted the recommended fee adjustments for fiscal year 2025. Overall, some fees were increased and some were decreased. Process enhancements allowed for staff to be more efficient in completing certain permit reviews, which resulted in lower fees.

As a reminder, you can find the fee guide and a fee calculator on the City of Raleigh website. The fee calculator can help customers estimate fees for building permits, stormwater, open space, thoroughfares, or right-of-way occupancy.

If you have trouble with viewing the FY25 Development Fee Guide, please refer to the clearing cache part of the Best Practices section of the Portal Help page.
