Free back-to-school giveaway offers supplies and services for children

Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin, City of Raleigh | City of Raleigh - Government

A free family event offering back-to-school supplies will be held at the Sanderford Road Neighborhood Center. The event, scheduled for Saturday, August 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., is open to children aged 5 to 15.

Attendees can pick up free school supplies while they last and take advantage of complimentary braiding and haircuts available from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The event is organized in partnership with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Hiram Tyree #727 Masonic Lodge, Recidivism Reduction Educational Program Services, North Carolina Empowerment Organization, and Having Aunties in Reach.
