Youth Aviation Academy returns with educational sessions on aviation careers and STEM learning

John Chavis Memorial Park and the Heart of Carolina Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen are collaborating to present the 2024 Youth Aviation Academy. This complimentary program aims to inspire students from 4th to 10th grade by educating them about the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, careers in aviation and aeronautics, and modern flight.

The curriculum encompasses Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) alongside interactive learning experiences.

- Imaginary Planet Craft

- Light Breakfast Refreshments

- **Nov. 2, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.**

- Field Trip to RDU Airport

- **Nov. 9, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.**

- Principles of Flight

- Flight Simulator Session I

- Aviation Trivia

- Light Breakfast Refreshments

- **Dec. 14, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.**

The program is free; however, registration is encouraged for participants aged between nine and sixteen years old via RecLink.
