A flood advisory is in effect until 2 p.m. due to moderate to heavy rainfall.

The National Weather Service has indicated that minor flooding is expected, particularly in urban and poor drainage areas. The advisory highlights potential impacts, including minor flooding in low-lying regions and ponding of water in various areas.

The advisory urges caution, stating, "Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles."

While no current impacts to the city have been reported, monitoring efforts are ongoing. Authorities track rainfall and stream levels during forecasts of heavy rain, focusing on locations along Walnut Creek and Crabtree Creek to identify flooding conditions. This enables first responders to close roads and implement other safety measures as necessary.

Residents can access a Live Flood Gauge Map online, which provides information on stream gauges, camera locations, flood warning signs, floodplain areas, and weather radar. The tool also allows users to input their address for localized weather updates.
