Raleigh hosts free back-to-school events throughout August

A series of back-to-school events are scheduled to take place in Raleigh, North Carolina, throughout August 2024. These events aim to provide students and families with free activities and resources as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

The "Back to School Family Reunion and Giveaway" will be held at Roberts Park on Saturday, August 10, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This event is open to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

"Sneaker Design Day" is set for Friday, August 16, at Peach Road Park. The event will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., targeting children aged 8-16.

The "Raleigh Teen Connect Pool Party" will take place at Biltmore Hills Pool on Saturday, August 17, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., catering specifically to middle and high school students. A rain date is scheduled for Saturday, August 24.

John Chavis Memorial Park will host the "Back-to-School Jamboree at the Park" on Saturday, August 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., welcoming attendees of all ages.

Lastly, the "Back-to-School Giveaway" will occur at Sanderford Road Park on Saturday, August 24, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., designed for children aged between five and fifteen years old.

All events are free of charge and organized by the City of Raleigh.
