Raleigh Arts has announced the 2024 Raleigh Medal of Arts awardees, selected by the City of Raleigh Arts Commission. The Raleigh Medal of Arts represents the city's highest honor in the arts. This year's ceremony will be held at Raleigh Little Theatre and will feature performances by local talent.
The 2024 awardees are:

- Elizabeth Beilman and Jimmy Gilmore
- Ragen Carlile
- Creative Mornings Raleigh
- Roy C. Dicks
- Fruit of Labor World Cultural Center
- Yvette Holder
- Timothy Locklear
- Rob Maddrey
- Ilse Mann
- Raleigh Drum Circle
- Mark Tulbert
A ceremony to celebrate these individuals and groups will take place on Tuesday, October 8, at 7 p.m. at Raleigh Little Theatre. Tickets for the event will be available in September.
The Raleigh Medal of Arts is awarded for extraordinary achievement in the practice or support of local arts. Modeled after the National Medal of Arts program, it was inaugurated in 1984 by the Raleigh Arts Commission to recognize excellence in the arts. Over the past 34 years, 170 medals have been awarded.
