City of Raleigh staff are set to present discussion topics to the City Council during their annual retreat. The retreat is scheduled for January 24 and 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Pioneers Building in Method Community Park.
The agenda for Friday, January 24, includes a Strategic Plan Update Presentation, Legislative Agenda, Budget and Financial Outlook, and Public Comment Discussion. On Saturday, January 25, discussions will cover Affordable Housing and Zoning, Smart Growth and Annexations, Boards and Commissions Discussion, and an Operational Update from the City Manager.
For those interested in attending or following along with the proceedings, live streaming will be available when the City Council is in session. A link for live streaming will appear next to the event date on the city's website. If this link does not appear while a meeting is in session, viewers can watch via YouTube as a backup option.
The city notes that it does not endorse any videos or ads that YouTube may display after council meetings end. Additionally, the YouTube stream does not include a copy of the agenda alongside the video feed; however, agendas and minutes from past sessions can be found on BoardDocs.
Past meetings are accessible through the city's Video Services page. Furthermore, RTN Channel provides continuous streaming of either live meetings or recent pre-recorded sessions.
