The City of Raleigh has announced the permanent closure of its garbage and recycling drop-off center located at the Yard Waste Center on 900 N. New Hope Road. The removal of dumpsters is scheduled for March 1, which will prevent residents and municipal partners from using this facility for disposing of garbage and recycling waste.

Residents are encouraged to use alternative sites for their waste disposal needs. Several Wake County Convenience Centers offer options for disposing of garbage, recycling, e-waste, hazardous waste, and construction waste. The Raleigh Reuse Web Tool and App can assist in finding the nearest drop-off site by searching for specific items in the Waste Wizard.
