Lauryn Kabrich, a Park Planner with the City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department, has been recognized as one of the National Recreation and Park Association’s (NRPA) “30 Under 30” professionals for 2025. This accolade highlights her contributions to the community through innovation, leadership, and dedication to equity and environmental resilience.
Kabrich's efforts have significantly impacted Raleigh’s parks and communities. As a project manager, she has been instrumental in securing funding for key projects. Notable achievements include obtaining a $300,000 Accessibility for Parks grant for a neighborhood playground renovation focused on universal design and an $8.7 million Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership grant aimed at stream restoration and park development in Downtown Raleigh.
Furthermore, Kabrich has led partnerships between Raleigh Parks and private developers, resulting in substantial public benefit contributions. Her work in public-private partnerships has advanced goals related to environmental resilience, equity, and multimodal connectivity within the city.
