The City of Raleigh has announced the arrival of its second cohort for the Pathways to Public Service program. This initiative is designed to provide college juniors, seniors, and recent graduates with hands-on experience in municipal government through projects, mentorship, and professional development.

The program follows a successful inaugural cohort that achieved a 98 percent completion rate. Notably, 89 percent of participants secured positions within city departments or partner organizations. An example of this success is Sulayman Ingram, who transitioned from being a fellow to an Engineering Specialist with Raleigh Stormwater.

This initiative underscores Raleigh's commitment to developing future leaders and fostering an inclusive community. The new fellows include Ryan Spruill from St. Augustine's University, Kendall Garraway from UNC-Greensboro, Cameron Emery from NCCU, Maria Hernandez from Elon University, Kevanette Woodside from Shaw University, Noah Carr from NCSU, Lucas Carrington and Kaitlyn O'Donnell also from NCSU, Kai Scarboro from Drexel University, Dana Donachie from American University, Gabrielle Bubin and Zialliah Ascalon both from NCSU, Sarah Weber from UNC-Chapel Hill, Jacquay Bland from UNC-Greensboro, and Jonathan Barlow also from NCSU.
