The City of Raleigh is inviting residents and community members to provide input on the selection of the next chief of police. The city has established three methods for gathering public opinion on this matter.

A survey is available for individuals to express their preferences regarding the qualifications and experience they wish to see in the new police chief. Participants are also encouraged to suggest questions for the interview process. This survey will remain open until Saturday, February 22.

Additionally, comments can be submitted by leaving a message at 855-925-2801, box 11128. Each message has a limit of three minutes, and callers may propose questions for consideration during the selection process.

On February 24, there will be an opportunity for the public to meet the final candidates at Fletcher Opera Theater within the Martin Marietta Center for Performing Arts. The discussion with candidates will be moderated, and questions should be submitted using the aforementioned survey link.

The application period for this position concludes on February 14. Input collected through these channels will play a role in reviewing and selecting final candidates.
