The Friends of the City of Raleigh Museum are preparing to host the annual Raleigh Roasts fundraiser event on March 15. The event will take place at Moore Square Park, a shift from its traditional location at the museum on Fayetteville Street. This change was initially made during the pandemic and has continued due to popular demand.
Raleigh Roasts offers an opportunity for residents and visitors to sample coffee, tea, and treats from local vendors. Live music will be performed by local artist Larry Karan. Museum members can attend without charge.
The timing of this year's event coincides with the Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which begins at 10 a.m., allowing attendees to enjoy both events by visiting Raleigh Roasts before or after the parade.
Last year, over 600 people attended Raleigh Roasts, and organizers anticipate even more participants this year. Advance ticket purchase is necessary to secure tastings, though some walk-up tickets may be available if space permits.
Campbell University’s School of Law is sponsoring this year's event alongside Crabtree and Symplicity Solutions.
Tickets for Raleigh Roasts range from $12 to $20.
