The Dr. M.T. Pope House Museum is set to offer its Weekend African American Third Ward Walking Tour this spring. The tour provides an opportunity to explore one of Raleigh's oldest and most influential Black neighborhoods, located near Shaw University. Known as the Third Ward, this area was once a thriving community of culture, enterprise, and education.

The walking tour is free of charge, though participants are encouraged to register in advance. It will take place from March 22 through June 22. Tours are available Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., welcoming participants of all ages.

Interested individuals can register for the tour on RecLink.
