Today, Governor Josh Stein announced that Ralliant Corporation will establish its global headquarters in Wake County, North Carolina. The move is expected to create 180 jobs and involves an investment of $2.1 million in the North Hills area of Raleigh.
"North Carolina’s technology hub has attracted another great company to our state,” said Governor Stein. “We welcome Ralliant to the Research Triangle, where they can tap into our highly skilled workforce and workforce training systems to supercharge their business.”
Ralliant is set to become an independent public company following its planned separation from Fortive Corporation in early Q3 2025. The new entity will focus on precision technologies for various sectors, including test and measurement, specialty sensors, aerospace, defense, and space subsystems.
“Raleigh is an ideal location with its strong high-tech research presence, top universities, skilled workforce, and proximity to our operating companies,” said Tami Newcombe, President and CEO of Ralliant. “We are excited to build our future here—driving breakthroughs, empowering progress, and shaping what’s next.”
Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley commented on the significance of Ralliant's decision: "Ralliant’s decision to establish its headquarters in Raleigh reflects the city’s dynamic economy, highly skilled talent pool, and outstanding quality of life."
The average salary for the new positions at Ralliant will be $189,479 compared with Wake County's average wage of $76,643. This translates into an annual payroll impact exceeding $30 million for the community.
The project will benefit from a Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG) approved by North Carolina's Economic Investment Committee. Over a 12-year term, this grant is projected to grow the state's economy by more than $975 million. The JDIG agreement allows potential reimbursement up to $2.63 million based on performance verification.
Because Wake County is classified as Tier 3 under the state's economic tier system, part of the JDIG agreement involves moving $876,750 into North Carolina's Industrial Development Fund – Utility Account. This fund aids rural communities with infrastructure upgrades necessary for attracting businesses.
“We’re excited to see a sophisticated technology company like Ralliant select Raleigh and Wake County for their world headquarters,” said N.C. Senator Jay Chaudhuri.
N.C. Representative Tim Longest expressed gratitude towards local organizations: “I’d like to thank the many local, regional, and state economic development organizations that worked together to support Ralliant while they evaluated our area.”
The project was supported by multiple partners including the North Carolina Department of Commerce and several educational institutions such as N.C. State University and Wake Technical Community College.
