Lowe's has announced the launch of Mylow, an AI-powered virtual advisor designed to assist customers with home improvement queries. This new tool is part of Lowe's ongoing efforts to enhance customer service and provide expert advice through digital means.
"Home improvement is inherently complex and can feel overwhelming even for the most experienced DIYer – that's why Lowe's has invested in AI and emerging technologies to create solutions that truly help our customers," stated Seemantini Godbole, Lowe's Chief Digital and Information Officer. "We're aiming to deliver the best customer service in retail and Mylow represents an industry-leading step forward in helping us do that. This solution will not only help our customers be more informed, but our associates too."
Mylow was developed in collaboration with OpenAI and integrates expert advice from Lowe's, offering practical solutions for a variety of projects directly from a user's device. It provides quick answers to common questions such as when to plant grass seed or how to measure a kitchen for new flooring.
"The development and introduction of Mylow exemplifies the tech-forward vision of the Lowe's brand," said Chandhu Nair, Senior Vice President of Technology at Lowe's. "We're doubling down with emerging technology collaborators like OpenAI to solve problems for our customers and because we want the home improvement experience at Lowe's to be a cut above."
In addition to answering questions, Mylow connects project insights with product discovery, allowing users to find suitable tools and materials for their tasks. Customers can refine recommendations by providing specific details such as budget or location.
The introduction of Mylow underscores Lowe’s commitment to leveraging technology in enhancing its services, making home improvement more accessible and manageable for all customers.
