A month ago, Nelson Jandres, a Senior Maintenance Technician, introduced Valentin, a new puppy, to his family as an unexpected Valentine's Day surprise. Valentin was once a stray seeking shelter but has now found a warm home and loving family.

Nelson had been considering adopting another pet after the loss of their previous dog of 15 years. The timing aligned perfectly with his wife's planned Valentine’s surprises for their children. The introduction of Valentin was met with joy by the kids.

Within a week of joining the Jandres household, Valentin visited the veterinarian and received a clean bill of health along with his first vaccinations. With care from his new family, Valentin is thriving; he is growing quickly and becoming more playful.

Nelson's mother enjoys taking care of Valentin during the day while the extended family welcomed him warmly at a Valentine’s weekend gathering. He is also progressing well in training, learning to signal when he needs to go outside and responding to commands.

Valentin has become an integral part of the Jandres family. His journey serves as a reminder that love can arrive unexpectedly.
