Raleigh Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Efforts to Address Systemic Racism

June 30, 2020

12;00 PM

Adrienne Cole, president and CEO of the Raleigh Chamber said it clearly, “There is NO place in our community or society for systemic racism.” This sentiment has been echoed from all corners of our community. Like others, we all are witnessing outrage for the recent tragic deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd. Amid the feelings of outrage, there is no sense of hopelessness. The sentiments expressed are of determination to address interpersonal and structural racism.

Many of us are struggling with “what to do next” and “how can we support” the elimination of systemic racism. In honoring the victims of racism, both past and present, the Triangle DEI Alliance is committed to support our community in advocating and building our fluency in the areas of anti-racist practices, programs, and policies.
