The Five Points Center for Active Adults is hosting a class designed specifically for individuals with Parkinson's disease. The class aims to address fitness, voice projection, and balance challenges faced by those battling the condition.

Participants will begin with a warm-up that includes casual stretching and arm and body movements. The session incorporates "air boxing" along with memory exercises that involve counting out loud both forward and backward. Balance techniques are also practiced, with an optional chair available for support during exercises. The class concludes with a cooldown period, followed by an opportunity for participants to receive support after the workout.

Caregivers can attend the sessions at no cost when accompanying a student.

The classes are scheduled every Wednesday from March 5th to March 26th, running from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., targeting individuals aged 50 and older. Participation in this program is free of charge, and registration can be completed through RecLink.
