Town of Knightdale issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.
Unfortunately due to lifeguard staffing issues, the Knightdale Community Pool will be closed on Friday September 3rd, but will be open for regular hours on Saturday September 4th.
The impact of COVID on staffing has been a huge issue and finding qualified lifeguards continues to be a problem across the Country. National lifeguard certifications were down almost 50% this year.
