Town of Wake Forest issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.
According to Republic Services, all Tuesday and Wednesday trash collection routes are expected to be caught up by the end of today.

The following message is intended for residents whose normal trash collection day is Tuesday.
Republic Services has notified the Town of Wake Forest that equipment issues may cause trash collection delays today. As a result, residents whose trash is normally collected on Tuesday may not receive collection service until Wednesday.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will provide an update later today.
